Mendip View Luxury Lodges

We really enjoyed our stay here. Lodge was clean and well equipped with kitchen utensils etc. Loved that it had a dishwasher too! Hot tub was fantastic and lovely and hot every evening given the 4° temperature of mid March evening. Beautiful views from the Lodge with lots of wild rabbits hopping about. Great price too. Having the Wookey Hole tickets for 6 of us included was real bonus. Really good value for money. We did the Wild Wookey adventure which was absolutely amazing and having a hot tub to get into afterwards really helped with the aching! Highly recommend! Wookey Hole was a great place for the family to visit. We all really enjoyed it. Wells is only a 10 minute drive away with a good town centre and market and the visit to the Cathedral and Bishops Palace was a nice day out. We all really enjoyed our stay here and didn't want to leave! Will definitely be back at some point.

Lovely place, staff very nice and very approachable. We stayed in a lodge which was again lovely but our only criticisms are that there is no air con / fans and with the heat that we have been having it was literally unbearable, the shower head needs to be changed due to the lack of water coming through the holes. I don't want this to sound like a complaint as this is constructive criticism and I would definitely stay here again in the future.

We read a review after already booking our stay at mendip lodges, from a lady called Jodie and due to her comments, we nearly didn't come. It was booked for my 50th birthday and we wanted to take our pooch. As she said, the lodges are statics. But unlike her description they are very clean and nicely kept. The bedrooms are small, but no smaller than any other static. It has lovely decking with the tub lowered in. The hot tub is hot 24/7 we have a hot tub at home and the temp is the same. And the leg massager is amazing, we went in the tub every night. The views are amazing and staff are very friendly and helpful. They come around everyday checking the PH levels of the tub and the water levels too. If your looking for a peaceful break then you have found the right place, just don't listen to Jodies review, as it could have caused me to cancel and miss out on an amazing experience. The place did not have any nasty smells, it smelt of a fresh clean when we arrived. I think Jodie may have followed someone with smelly dogs as her description is totally at the other end of the scale to mine. We went to wookey hole caves and cheddar gorge. Both a great experience, we ate at a dog friendly pub with the best pub food I have eaten in a while. We asked where we could sit with the dog and they said anywhere you like dear, they all gave our pooch a fuss. The heating and hot water is also great. Heats up very quickly and you have to turn it down as it can get to warm. We stayed in Lodge 9 from 11th to 15th of march 2024. And we will defo return again. I rarely write reviews but felt I needed to defend the place as some of these reviews will cause some not to come and that would be such a shame. One of the best breaks I have had in Somerset. And we will definatley be returning next year Jo

We stayed in Lodge 1 for 3 nights and then 1 night in the hotel to extend our stay. We had a fantastic time, a well deserved break between Christmas and New Year. It was an added bonus we got entry tickets to Wookey Hole. Wookey Hole is a great day out, lots to do and see. Would definatetly recommend a visit. The Lodge was ideal for us, 3 adults and 3 children. It was spacious and clean. The two twin rooms were on the smaller side, however we'd rather that and have more living space. There's everything you need in the kitchen and having a separate area with an extra sink and washing machine was great. It was a lovely extra touch that there was a decorated Christmas tree in the living area. The outside area had a lovely big veranda with two separate seating areas and a lovely hot tub. The views looking over the Mendip Hills were beautiful. The staff were all really helpful and would accommodate anything they could if you requested it. We had a breakfast and evening meal in the hotel, which were both really nice. I would definatetly recommend staying here, couldn't fault it at all. We'll definatetly be going back

Spent a long weekend in Lodge 10, lovely & clean, well equipped in beautifully maintained grounds. Great to lounge in the hot tub watching bats flying about & listening to the owls. So relaxing.

Spent a long weekend here with my daughter and a friend. Wow. Absolutely beautiful place. The lodge was luxury with hot tub and everything you need. Clean and tidy with lovely bedding. The view across Wookey and the Mendips was amazing. Staff all very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with the shower which was sorted straight away. Very impressed and will go back again.

Lodge was not very clean on arrival several features either didn't work or didn't work properly hot tub was cold and jets worked intermittently we were there during heavy rain and the gutter on the lodge was blocked solid which meant we had to listen to water pouring down against the static all night on site shop everything was overpriced myself and my son joined my parents on holiday and for the cost we were disappointed with the accommodation. Please do some maintenance the accommodation let's your beautiful complex down The views are spectacular so I can't fault that our visit to the caves was interesting we visited nearby Wells which was beautiful. All in all we would definitely visit the area again

Very reasonable price for a Mon - Fri break during February half term. Lodge was bigger than expected and lovely and warm, as too was the hot tub which the kids loved. We were in lodge 10, which is the only lodge where the hot tub is on a separate piece of decking behind the lodge so a bit of a pain as you can't see it when inside your lodge. Cleanliness was ok, carpet & sofas starting to look a bit grubby but kitchen and bathroom areas great. Bonus was free entry into the caves!!!
